Our weekend was pretty boring, for the most part. Phillip only worked two days last week because he was sick. Really, knock you out, lay in bed all the time sick. I always know if he's not going to work, then he's really feeling horrible. Finally, he decided we needed to get him in to see the doc. Ultimately, he was found to have bronchitis. With an ear infection. Yuck.
The doc told him that he really needed to take the weekend and rest because it might progress to pneumonia if he didn't. So he was outta commission all weekend and is taking antibiotics. Friday and Saturday were beautiful weather-wise, so I tried to be outside as much as possible.
I was able to get out to Mount Airy Forest for a hike with Lawrence on Saturday afternoon for a couple of hours. I had not been hiking in Mount Airy since last May. My third trimester really took it out of me as far as hiking goes. After we did the Appalachian Trail stretch, I was DONE for the duration of my pregnancy. It really felt great to hike again during our Easter camping trip at Red River Gorge, so I thought I'd try to keep the momentum going. I felt great after my hike, and Lawrence, who enjoys being outside more than just about anywhere else seemed to enjoy himself as well.
By Saturday evening, Archie began running the low grade fever. As did Lawrence. Then on Sunday morning, I woke up feeling horrible too. So Sunday was a stay in bed kind of day. I managed to make it through the entire winter without so much as a sniffle. It stinks that when the weather is finally warming up, NOW is when I get sick. Phillip had to work out of town this week, so he left Sunday evening for Marietta, Ohio. He says he's still not feeling well. Fortunately, today the kids and I seem to be feeling better and I've almost got the spring back in my step.

I hate that too! Rain and sickness always do seem to come at the most inconvenient times!
