Hey there, Mr. Grumpy Gills. When life gets you down, do you wanna know what you've gotta do? Just keep on swimming, swimming, swimming. What do we do? We swim, swim! ~Dory (Finding Nemo)

Archie is Creative

Yesterday, Archie created this pie chart graphing what Lawrence's typical day is like. This was in no way assigned by me...just something he came up with on the spot. Interesting, because we haven't really done much in the way of graphing yet. You may have to click on it to make it larger and easier to read. I will offer an explanation below.

The yellow represents how much of his day Lawrence spends getting into stuff.

The red indicates how much of the day Lawrence spends getting mad.

The green represents how much of the day Lawrence spends just being mean.

The blue is the percentage of energy he has.

And finally, the unlabled black line indicates how much of his day Lawrence spends resting from all the stuff he's been doing all day.

----------------------------------------------

While cleaning underneath the couch a few weeks ago, I found this note. I enlarged it in the scan for easier reading. I vaguely remember that he wrote it because he was mad about a writing assignment I gave him back in the summer. Interesting that he hates writing, but doesn't seem to mind writing a disparaging note. Hmmm....

It says, "I am glad School is over! Because boy do I hate it!"

-------------------------------

The last note I found was a poem Archie had written over the summer. It was missing for a long time, but I'm glad to have found it again. Incidentally, this is how Lawrence became forever known in our family as 'Lawrence the Torrence'. He's a 'Torrence' because he's so busy and gets into so much and is a bit mischievous. Did I say a bit? I mean a lot. :-)

"I have a little brother named Lawrence. I like to call him Lawrence the Torrence. I go crazy when Lawrence picks up a penny."

There was going to be more to this, but it was never written. Kinda like the Unfinished Symphony.
