We went to another small museum after the River one. It was the Market House museum. I didn't get any pictures, but it had neat things like old medicines and syringes and such. I think the lady was a bit worried about Archie being there, because she made a point to tell me to keep watching him. Even after I read the signs. And he hadn't let go of my hand since we walked in. I guess they're not too keen on kid patrons.
I went shopping in one of the thousand "antique" stores (which is more like "a bunch of old crap" store) and saw the same bunch of junk that was there the last time. I wanted to get two ice cream parlor chairs for my Tea Room at home, but they didn't want to come down on the price. And I would've had to provide the chair cushions and paint them! So I guess there they'll remain until the next time we have to visit this town. I'll bet they'll still be there when my Mom visits here for the Quilt Show next spring!
We went to a park after our adventures downtown. Here's a picture of Morgan and Archie:
After Phillip returned from work, we went to Chuckie Cheese for pizza and fun. I played loads of ski-ball. We combined all our winning tickets, but still managed to get only a few plastic trinkets for our trouble.
On Wednesday, we stayed in most of the day. We ventured out to the mall in the afternoon. The Borders Bookstore didn't even have any couches to sit on while browsing the books! Apparently the folks in Paducah really like to bow hunt and fish, because the outdoors store had just a huge display of bow hunting paraphernalia and fishing stuff. Rows and rows.
After Phillip returned from work, we went to the Ratatouille movie. (Pronounced Rat-a-too-ie for the old folks who don't do kid movies!) It was a funny movie, but a bit long in places. Archie enjoyed it very much because it's about a rat who loves to cook. And Archie loves to cook.
Today we're heading back to Metropolis (home of Superman) for lunch with Phillip and Superman fun.
