Hey there, Mr. Grumpy Gills. When life gets you down, do you wanna know what you've gotta do? Just keep on swimming, swimming, swimming. What do we do? We swim, swim! ~Dory (Finding Nemo)

Facebook Statuses--February

just *loves* waking up to the soothing sounds of a jackhammer in the morning. :-/

-----------------------

wants to get out, but too tired to go anywhere. Cloudy and overcast is not helping.

----------------------

feeling quite wiped out today.

----------------------

is crossing my fingers, and perhaps my legs...that this baby won't come this weekend before the snow stops falling. Wanna make sure that midwife can get here!!!!!!
The snowstorms were many in February...Every one had me hoping the baby would wait til roads were clear because my Midwife lived over 2 hours away!  Here are some snowstorm aftermath pictures:

A tree came down with the weight of the snow during one of the February storms.

This Evergreen hangs over the driveway waaaay out of human reach.  The snow pulled it down to Archie's height!

Lawrence seemed to enjoy his first snow experience.  Of course, we had to experience another 'first' this fall because he didn't remember from the last winter!

The snow had begun again when Archie had a friend over to climb the downed tree in the yard.

On the outdoor table on the back deck.

A very large icicle that fell off the roof!

----------------------

just had my very first ever snow cone made of REAL snow! Yummy! I'm chock full of watermelon flavoured syrup now.

----------------------

Am I the only one who doesn't care about the Stupor Bowl today?

----------------------

hasn't done anything productive yet today. :-/

----------------------

hoping the baby holds off for just one more snowstorm!
The icicles on the buildings and houses were beginning to get dangerous.  Particularly when they began falling!  I've never, ever seen icicles in such great lengths before.  These were small compared to some that were on the roof of the church and taller buildings!

----------------------

is thinking that perhaps I'd like a snowcone for breakfast.

----------------------

has officially had enough: had to bring out the extra large trash bags and fill with all the toys on the floor to 'encourage' Archie's enthusiasm for cleaning up his toys.

----------------------

Today would be a good day to have a baby. Or tomorrow. Or the next day. But preferably today.

----------------------

is ready to move back to the Sunny South. The kiddos are tired of being cooped up indoors. Spring, where are you?

----------------------

thinks it might be an early naptime for the Dutton household. So tired and it's only 9am!

----------------------

still waiting on this baby to make an appearance.

----------------------

getting ready to waddle on over to Archie's Blue and Gold banquet.
Sadly, I neglected to take any pictures of this.  To be fair, though, I was absolutely miserable, exhausted and was enduring some pretty stupid comments at this time.  So I wasn't thinking about photography, I suppose.
-------------------------

is thinking of perhaps having a baby today or tonight or sometime very soon. Prayers, positive thoughts and the like would be appreciated!
I wrote this around noonish or so while I was in labour on Feb 24.  I wanted to be sure, before I made it public!

-------------------------

Baby Lydia Renee arrived! Waterbirthed at home last night around 8:30 weighing in at 8lbs 2 oz. She looks a lot like Archie did when he was born! Will be posting a pic soon. We are both doing great!
All my usable-for-the-public pics were posted on the blog.  Here are a couple of pictures from about a week or so after Lydia's birth.

She looks so darned cute, if I do say so myself!  Just looking at her here makes me want to scoop her out of the photo and kiss her!
