Actually I did a pretty good job of covering our Easter trip to Alabama in MAY! in my blog. Here are a couple that weren't in the original posts.
How cute is this picture??? This is my Uncle Jim and Miss Lydia.

Mom figured out how hard it is to get a picture of the three kids together. I have about ten of these pictures, and this one is the best. Either Lawrence is hitting Archie with a pillow, or Archie's looking somewhere else, or Lydia is wiggling out of Archie's arms...something. In the picture previous to this one in the file, Lawrence was giving Lydia a big, sloppy wet kiss. That is why she is crying!
Lawrence is getting his sleepy time bottle. He stopped nursing about three months before Lydia was born. But he really looks forward to his before nap and before bedtime bottle--the only time he drinks from one.
Lawrence was very curious about the riding lawn mower, but wasn't too sure about it when it was running!
This is Lawrence's favourite hiding place at my parents' house!
Why, why don't I have any pics of my Dad's birthday? I really need to step it up some this year.

Back in Cincinnati. Kids did great on the very looong drive! Baby slept most of the drive time. :-)

Had a great day: Homeschool convention, then grillin with the family, enjoying the weather! :-)
One of my absolute favourite things to do at home is grilling out. Sitting on the back deck with Phillip, having an adult beverage, watching the kids play and watching the bats dart about in the evening. Heaven on earth!!
I love going to homeschool conventions! While I know they are typically pushing an agenda (religious or otherwise), I always, always glean a little nugget here or there. They are usually really inspiring and make me feel quite enthusiastic about our choice to homeschool.
We found what we thought might be a Luna Moth at Miss Dottie's house across the street.
The 'eyes' on it's back are pretty neat!

attempting to bring some sort of organization to a disorganized week.
It seems as though disorganization was the name of the game during the whole year. I was and am quite ashamed of my lack of blog posts. But it was tough getting stuff done. By the time I had a little quiet time, I preferred to spend it with Phillip rather than in front of the computer. And quiet time during the day while he was at work just wasn't happening on a regular basis.

is busy putting out fires: a jello catastrophe--green sticky all over the kitchen, the subsequent mopping, then a bee sting, and as always, hip deep in poop. Can't wait to see what the afternoon brings.
A typical morning, it seems. Archie and Lawrence were making jello alien monsters and spilled one of the monster trays. To this day (January of 2011) I am still finding green jello drips hidden in various nooks and crannies!
Here they are, both in their cooking attire. You can see the can of what we call Magic Spray (Lanacane or Dermaplast) to fix the bee sting boo-boo still handy on the sink.
You got lucky...I don't have any pictures of the poop!

trying out structured activities for Lawrence: Movers and Shakers class at the library! Gettin my dancin shoes on!
Lawrence didn't really respond to the class all that well...I think he was overwhelmed by the other kids there, and only seemed to enjoy himself when the Librarian handed out floaty scarves or maracas for them to shake or dance with. He mostly sat in my lap and didn't appear to be enjoying himself. The class turned into a constant source of worry for me. I was concerned that he was becoming an antisocial person. Then I began questioning things like...are people who turn into criminals or are mentally ill later in life born or are they made? You know...chicken and egg questions. Stupid class. We did it for a couple of months, then got busy with other things over the summer.
And it turns out he just wasn't ready to be in that kind of setting yet. All that concern for naught, as he plays, dances, and does lots of social things. In fact, he had a girl feeding him fake food in Sunday School a couple of weeks ago. Workin' it already!
He marches to his own beat, and is quite a fun kid! I think I'll keep him!

I got into quite a lot of trouble this day because I went to Yoga and didn't answer my cell phone. Phillip was desperately trying to reach me to tell me that we had no time to go to the RV place because The Car had arrived at the dealership. He left three or four messages on my phone which continually got more and more grumpy each one. Mind you, this is something I do EVERY THURSDAY, and have for the three years (then) we had lived here! Um...I don't leave my phone on in Yoga...kind of ruins the Zen.

Yeah. Buncha snakes, those salesmen. Bait and switch sort of situation and super-inflated prices. Who does this guy take me for? I did an ass-load of research prior to this visit!

Is really stoked about the new-to-us pop up camper! We'll be looking like idiots setting it up in the driveway tomorrow! :-)

Yes, we looked like a bunch of nerds camping in our driveway. And it was cold, just like Dutton Camping. But we were at home! We put heaters in there!

feels good about doing a month's worth of dinner menu planning.
That was and is awesome and a great time-saver! Really helps dinnertime go much, much better! The time it took to make the menu was well worth the result. I highly recommend it. I mostly use the same one over and over again, with small additions and subtractions depending on seasonal fruits/veggies, and new recipes I find.
