Mobile, Alabama: Gettin' our MOJO Fix

We took my cousin Andrew to his first MOJO event at the Gulf City Lodge. For the unschooled, MOJO is the Mystic Order of the Jazz Obsessed, an organization that meets once per month to listen to a little jazz, eat jambalaya and fixins' and learn about various jazz artists. This week we learned about Erroll Garner, pianist and keyboardist. A popular song he wrote is "Misty".

Regular E wasn't feeling too perky due to his stubborn kidney stone which has yet to make its grand entrance into the world outside Regular E's body. Despite that, it was a rather nice evening. Here's a shot of us at our table:

I really like this picture of Sara and Regular E. If Regular E looks a little smoked, it's the pain medication.

A Father-Daughter photo.

Andrew won the raffle, a set of jazz Cd's. Old E will have to make sure he raids the luggage to check them out when Andrew returns home! Andrew went on stage and told everyone who he was and where he was from, and chatted a bit with Carmen and Kevin (pictured with him). Pretty cool!!

Here is an Ohio Cousin picture.
